French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (CIRAD) is an organization working for the sustainable development of Tropical and Mediterranean regions. CIRAD is the lead partner of LIDISKI project. Operations of CIRAD will centre on coordinating the main activities of the Project which includes: Capacity building to improve the ability of animal health players in Nigeria to monitor and control PPR and ND. Involving field players in vaccination and disease reporting, through communication and awareness campaigns. Understanding the situation. Socioeconomic and epidemiological surveys will be conducted focusing on PPR and ND distribution and impact, vaccination cost-benefits, gender-specific issues, and the impact of climatic events on livelihoods. Developing a toolkit for use in scaling up surveillance and control efforts across Nigeria.

The National Veterinary Research Institute (NVRI), Vom Nigeria is part of the consortium implementing the LIDISKI project. The foremost Veterinary Research Institute in Nigeria will be supporting various activities that will feed into the main activities of the project which includes Identifying study areas and training needs, Capacity building for laboratory and vaccine production, Training in quantitative and participatory methods, PPR and ND Epidemiology, Development of toolkit for disease surveillance and control, Evaluation of Strategies and Internal Communication for the success of the LIDISKI project.

IKORE an international development organisation will be using its expertise on Rural enterprise for animal vaccines model to develop community based structures that will facilitate the availability and uptake of affordable life-saving vaccines, raise awareness and education on the benefits of vaccinating rural poultry and livestock and also promote demand for vaccines through Capacity building of field actors in disease surveillance and control good practices, Internal Communication and External Communication on the LIDISKI project.

Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale Delle Venezie (IZSVe), is an Italian health authority and research organization for animal health and food safety. The IZSVe will mainly support the capacity building for laboratory and vaccine production, PPR and ND epidemiology, and internal communication to achieve the main aim of the LIDISKI project which is to build tools and expertise for use to establish sustainable surveillance and control strategies against livestock diseases in Nigeria.
