About The Project
LIDISKI is a European Union (EU) funded, £2.5M project that will improve livestock disease surveillance and control in Nigeria. Launched on March 4, 2020 in Abuja, the four-year Livestock Disease Surveillance Knowledge Integration (LIDISKI) project aims to boost the livelihoods of smallholder livestock and poultry farmers in Plateau state – the pilot zone, and subsequently 8 other northern states.

The project is funded by the European Union (EU), through the DeSIRA (Development-Smart Innovation through Research in Agriculture) initiative lunched by the EU Commission’s Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development (DG DEVCO). The EU delegation in Abuja will follow the project implementation.
